Location

Sardinia in Salsa will take place from the 2nd to the 9th October 2011 in South Sardinia, at the Flamingo Resort, less than 40 kms from the beautiful capital of the island: Cagliari, famous for its warm climate all year long (more than 300 sunny days during the year).

Salsa courses and workshops will be held both at the conference center of the resort as well as in other open air locations that will hold also parties, shows and entertainments.

Sardinia is definitely one of the most fascinating islands of the Mediterranean Sea, one of the most beautiful and unique region of Italy. Famous in the world for its turquoise sea, Sardinia will welcome participants with great culture, traditional food and fantastic wine!

Sardinia in Salsa 2011 will allow participants to discover the South part of Sardinia, famous for its warm climate and fantastic beaches.

FLAMINGO Resort

We have selected for Sardinia in Salsa 2011 one of the most fascinating beach resort in Sardinia. Only 38 km from Cagliari airport, Flamingo Resort is located near the town of Santa Margherita di Pula, directly by the sea.
Within Flamingo Resort there are two hotels: Hotel Flamingo and Hotel Mare Pineta, both of them are located by the beach and are linked to each other by a wonderful 300 meters walk pass through the park. Both the hotels offer rooms of various types, all with elegant furnishings, tv, bathroom, minibar, air conditioning. All the Sardinia in Salsa social activities will be held in the same locations.

There are several services that will make your stay absolutely memorable and great fun for couples and families with children: a veranda with panoramic terrace, indoor restaurants, wellness center with indoor pools (special fee for all Sardinia in Salsa members), two indoor swimming pools ideal for children, fitness centre and tennis courts, beach volleyball and mini golf. Food and Restaurants

Sardinia is renowned for the excellent quality of its crops, tasty meats, fresh fish and shellfish.
The island's food tradition boasts a series of dishes combining typical tastes in unique recipes, reawakening the pleasures of the table and the enjoyment of wholesome food accompanied by excellent local wines.

All the Sardinia in Salsa guests will have lunches and dinners together at the Restaurant of the Hotel Flamingo. Launches and dinners will be buffet service, except two dinners where we are organizing a table service.
Buffet breakfast (with selection of tea, coffee, cappuccino, pastries, yogurt, fruits, cereal, bred, butter, marmalade, eggs, ham etc.) will be held in the restaurant of each hotel.

SIS Packages & Rooms

We have prepared three different packages for this coming edition of Sardinia in Salsa 2011.
According to availability and chosen package, Sardinia in Salsa participants will be able to choose were to stay if in Hotel Mare Pineta or the Hotel Flamingo. Both the hotels are located by the beach and rooms are furnished with tv, telephone, minibar, air conditioning, bathroom with shower or tube. Some rooms have sea view, which are on request, subject to availability and supplement.

With the SIS Mare Pineta Package you will stay in the Hotel Mare Pineta standard rooms, which have been completely renewed in winter 2011. All the rooms have independent entrances and are immersed in a cool pine wood . The SIS Mare Pineta Package is ideal for those guests seeking comfort, networking with other SIS guests, great location close to the sea and unbeatable quality fee ratio!

With the SIS Flamingo package you will stay in the Hotel Flamingo superior rooms, located in the first floor. The rooms are furnished in Mediterranean style, completely renovated, very close to the sea. The SIS Flamingo Package is ideal for those guests seeking comfort and great location near the sea!

With the SIS Suites Package you will stay in fantastic sea view suites, located in the area of “I Nidi”. part of the Hotel Flamingo, made of 44 brand new fantastic rooms, nestled in the greenery of the park. These superb rooms are distinguished for their splendid panoramic position with sea view, for the elegance of its furnishings, refined in every detail and for maximum comfort. All these suites have been recently refurbished. The SIS Suites Package is ideal for those guests seeking luxury comfort, tranquillity, privacy, and a unique location close to the sea.

Wellness & SPA

There is a fantastic wellness and SPA Center, named “Ippocampo”, located in the Hotel Flamingo, with sauna, Turkish bath, heated hydro massage pool, Kneipp track (ideal to regenerate your legs!). Daily entrance euro 20.00 per person if booked together with the package, other wise euro 25.00 per person if booked on the spot.

Beach

There is a fantastic white sandy beach a few meters from the resort, directly by the sea making the this Resort the ultimate venue for a fantastic holiday in Sardinia. The beach is available free of charge to Sardinia in Salsa guests with deckchairs and shady zones.
